Older Girl Beauty

BECCA’s blushing Gypsy & Songbird

We all know that I am a fan of blushes that are not powder. That doesn’t mean that I don’t ever wear a powder blush, that just means I am really selective when I do. As my lovely skin ages, I do not like to use a powder that is drying, making me look harsh, of which I am certainly not (*in a scientific study of me, by me).

So, when I had a chance to try these new BECCA Mineral blushes, I had to give them a try. These anti-oxident rich blushes are alcohol, talc and other filler-free – which are common ingredients that can cause a drier finish. It does contain finely milled with micro-fine, illuminating mineral particles to give a luminous glow, with out the glitter that is so not kind to us older lovelies.

These new colors are “Gypsy” (a ballerina pink) and “Songbird” (a peachy pink) – both can look a bit bright in the pan, (*and on my heavy swatches), but they blend out super sheer and buildable. Check out the blushes in natural light:

These are on counters now and run $32USD.

What is your blush preference? Are you a powder only lovely? Or do you layer – cream on bottom, powder on top?
