*Partnered Post* Jergens Natural Glow and My Spring Needs

jergens spring necessities Now that the temps are *FINALLY* staying warm, it is time to make some changes to what has been my cool weather routine. That means I need to bring out the products that are going to help me out the most when it gets HOT out there.

  • Jergens Natural Glow Face Daily Moisturizer Sunscreen: Now, this can be good year round (*like to help keep the winter pasties at bay), but I’m using it to help reduce the need to wear actual makeup that is just going to melt off anyway in the heat. Plus, it has SPF20 sunscreen in it, so it helps protect my face, while giving it some color at the same time. (*In fact, if you don’t want to get out in the heat at all, but look like you did, the whole line of Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizers can keep you looking like you vacay’d at the beach in as little as 3 days.)
  • Secret Waterproof Deodorant: It’s time to bring out the big dog deodorant, that can withstand the heavy “glistening” that a gal can do in wicked hot temps, and not disappear suddenly.
  • Covergirl Lash Blast 24 Hour Mascara: In these warmer temps you need a mascara that isn’t going to run at the first drop of sweat that gets in your eye, so this long lasting formula will stay put until you decide to take it off.
  • Maybelline SuperStay 10Hr Lip Stain Gloss: I am constantly wiping my face as the days heat up and I don’t like to have to keep reapplying my lip product, so, this stain keep color on my lips that lasts throughout my day.
  • Aqualillies for tarte Amazonian clay waterproof liner in “splash”: Same thing goes for my liner as my mascara – I don’t want it disappearing at the first sign of moisture, and these liners will not budge.

*Partnered Post* Hair How-To: How to Use Hot Rollers

Do any of you guys ever use hot rollers? I remember growing up and thinking that I couldn’t wait to get big enough to use those things. And then when I *did* get older and try to use them, because I hadn’t had any practice, I constantly was burning myself or something, so I gave’em up.

Well, now that I am more “mature”, I don’t hurt myself anymore when I use them. But, I don’t always use them very well. I’m from the middle of the country where the motto is generally “The higher the hair, the closer to God”, meaning, we like our big hair. Now, I can get big poofy curls with the rollers, but it isn’t always “styled” right.

Anyway, when I was watching the BlogHer hair videos, I came across this hot rollers tutorial that I thought might help me figure out what I was doing incorrectly.

*Partnered Post* Jergens Natural Glow and My Spring Outfit

Plus Size Spring Outfit The temps are finally warming up, so you know what that means – pretty Spring outfits. You know what doesn’t look good with a bright yellow dress? Pale, pasty skin! Which would explain why I have avoided wearing one in the past – it never looked good on me.

Well, this year it is going to be different! Thanks to the Jergens Natural Glow line I am working on getting some color on these gams of mine so I can rock the halter dress over there. (*Nothing like having another reason to hit up Tar-jay, right?).

*Partnered Post* Imedeen Results Overall and a Giveaway!

So here we are at the end of my 90-day supply of the Imedeen® Time Perfection anti-aging supplements, and I wanted to recap what I felt my results were after all of this.

One thing about me is that I have a hard time sticking with anything long term – it’s just not in my nature, esp with the amount of stuff that I try on a routine basis. However, this was really easy to add into my nightly routine. But, there was a bit in February when I forgot to put a new sleeve of the vitamins on my nightstand and forgot to take them. After some days, I noticed that my skin was looking a bit sallow and was soaking up more moisturizer than it had been recently. I couldn’t figure out what it was until I realized that I hadn’t been taking my Imedeen® at night. I got back on the anti-aging tablets and within a few days my skin was back to being more supple and softer, so I definitely feel that those were related.

older girl beauty cheek 3-30-2013 Another thing that I have noticed while taking these is that the redness in my skin has decreased. Now, I know that Rosacea is partially the dilation of blood vessels in the dermis layer of skin. And, since Imedeen® works in the dermal layer of the skin to strengthen and improve the skin’s invisible building blocks of collagen and elastin, I feel like that it may have worked to help reduce the inflammation and appearance of redness on my face. I took this pic, bare-faced in the morning sun, first thing this morning so you could see what I am talking about.

I also know that my skin all over feels flat out softer and smoother. Usually this time of year, with the wild temperature changes because Oklahoma doesn’t know if it is still Winter or Spring yet, I am usually drier and itchier. This year, I haven’t been as dependent on the lotion bottles to help me cope – it just hasn’t been as needed. I think that shows that the Imedeen® Time Perfection works on, and in, the whole body and not just a facial product, like so many moisturizers.
