You guys know how I appreciate when companies make significant contributions of monetary support to worthy charitable causes. I have even spotlighted MAC, Elizabeth Arden and Kiehl’s. So when I heard about the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund (*in honor of a dear friend of Laura’s and the sister of LM President and CEO, Claudia Poccia) and the donation of 100% proceeds from two new products, I wanted to bring it to your attention, too.
Starting in September 2012, Laura Mercier will be releasing the Bonne Mine Healthy Glow for Face & Cheeks Crème Colour Palette and the Rose Hope Lip Glace. The palette is a “universal compact” that consists of a Bronzer veil, 2 Cheek veils and 2 Glow veils and will be $48USD. The glacé is a high-shine, highly pigmented lip gloss that “gives the appearance of fuller lips” and will be $24USD.
100% of the profits from these items will be donated to the fund, and not just for the month of September, but ongoing. I know that the palette is permanent, but the lip gloss is limited edition so be sure to get one of those soon.
Do you ever just buy a product to support a cause, or do you buy a product because you like it, and the donation is a bonus?
