Backstage at the Tracy Reese Fall/Winter 2012 show – Hair

This season I was able to go backstage at Tracy Reese and talk to hairstylist Jeanie Syfu, for TRESemme, about the look for the Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show.

She said that the look was created by applying the 24Hour Body Mousse, then rough drying the hair for texture. They then curled random sections of hair with a double-barrel for an irregular wave pattern, before pulling the hair into a ponytail at the nape of the neck.

Backstage at the Tracy Reese Fall/Winter 2012 show – Nails

This season I was able to go backstage the Tracy Reese show and talk to manicurist Jin Soon Choi about the polish that Tracy created with Sally Hansen for the Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show.

Jin calls the colors for this season, “Scarab” (a shimmery teal blue) and “Copperhead” (a metallic copper) “very vibrant, very luminant and energetic”. She said the colors had real silver in them, giving it a 3D type effect. The colors will be coming out in the Fall in an as-unamed collection, so keep an eye out for it.

Backstage at the Carmen Marc Valvo Fall/Winter 2012 show – Makeup

This season I was lucky enough to go backstage “Carmen Marc Valvo” and see one of my favorite makeup artists, Romero Jennings, for MAC. We chatted about his fab shoes and the look for the Fall/Winter fashion show, among other things.

He told me that he created a really strong smokey eye, drawing ideas from “The Artist”.

This season I was able to go backstage at “Carmen Marc Valvo” and talk to the amaze hairstylist Ted Gibson about the look for the Fall/Winter 2012 show.

He told me that the look was “masculine couture”. He created a triangle bun, that was finished with Fix It Gel all over to give it a “brilliant shine”.

Backstage at the Joy Cioci Fall/Winter 2012 show – Hair

This season I was able to go backstage at Joy Cioci and talk to Tommy Buckett from the Marie Robinson Salon about the look for the Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show.

He said that the look was inspired by the “girl that doesn’t care… She’s pretty sexy and kind of vulnerable, all at once”. This “loose and organic” braided hair was not affixed with any pins or elastics, and sprayed with drugstore hairspray for it’s tack and texture.
