*Partnered Post* Revitalize from the inside out with Imedeen®

Imedeen Time Perfection 195x300 *Partnered Post* Revitalize from the inside out with Imedeen® We’re well into our new year and some of us may have already started to slip in our resolutions (*I’m looking at you inbox). But others we are are sticking to pretty firmly – like taking care of ourselves. For me, this means continuing to take my Imedeen Time Perfection® anti-aging supplements.

Now, I didn’t continue these pills out of habit, even tho it did become part of my nightly ritual, for sure. I kept taking them because I was actually seeing, and feeling, a difference in my aging skin – and not just on my face, but over my whole body. See, Imedeen® works down in the dermal layers of the skin, where there is collagen, to strengthen and improve the skin’s invisible building blocks through targeted nutrients that help skin retain moisture and suppleness, not just on the surface like a lot of other skin care products. That’s not just targeted to my facial skin, that’s all over.

So, I’m going to continue to take them, as I can definitely use more Vitamin C and LycoPhence GS® in my lifestyle (*which Imedeen® contains) to help build up collagen and to protect my skin from oxidative damage. What about you? Do you think you could use some more in your routine? While you ponder that, go check out the Lifestyle Skin Assessment and see which Imedeen® product is right for you. Then, come back here and enter to win a 90-day supply of Imedeen Time Perfection® by telling me why you want to try it in the comments and by liking the Older Girl Beauty Facebook page, too (*US residents only.) – Don’t forget to mark your entries in the Rafflecopter widget for them to count! If you don’t want to wait to see if you have won, you can always head over to the Imedeen® shop and go ahead and pick some up now.

*Giveaway* DermOrganic Haircare Line

 *Giveaway* DermOrganic Haircare Line

You would think that after all this time, and as someone that colors my hair on the regular, that I would already be on the sulfate-free train. But, I’m not. I still like to try the latest and greatest hair care lines, in my never ending quest to find something that controls my frizz and makes my color last longer. So, when I had a chance to try an organic, sulfate-free line called DermOrganic, I was game to try it – especially when I found out it was Argan oil based. I love hair oils, so, I was in!

I have been using the line for the last few weeks – the shampoo, conditioner, masque (once a week) and the leave-in treatment oil have been my routine. Now, I don’t use heat tools very often, but I have used the Spray Therapy, the one time I straightened my hair for a party. Anyway, since I don’t use heat on my hair, that means that I air dry my hair a lot. And, since the weather has been so cold, it usually frizzes out like a mid-Roseanne Rosannadanna do. Since I have been using this line, I can honestly say that my hair has been drying more silky and flat, (*but not in a lack of body way) and that leave-in treatment smells *ridiculously* good. There may be something to this sulfate-free stuff after all, because I am not certain that I’m ready to go back to any other line any time soon.

The only downside I have with this line, which can be worked around for sure, is that I am not a big fan of the pump dispensers on the shampoo/conditioner/masque bottles. The product is so thick and rich, that it doesn’t always pump out. Luckily, the bottles are flexible, so I just unscrew the top and squeeze some out. Easy peasy.

Anyway, I want to give you a chance to try this line for yourself, so I am giving away a bottle of shampoo, conditioner, masque and a leave-in spray to one of you lucky readers (*in the US, unfortch). I just want you to tell me in the comments if you are sulfate-free, or if you choose your haircare for a different reason, and to go like the OGB FB page. Make sure to enter in the Rafflecopter box below after you take care of those things. Good luck!

*Partnered Post* Meeting Imedeen® (and a giveaway, too)

As you know that I try a whole slew of different types of skincare to make sure that I keep this 40+yo face looking as young as I can. (*I may not want to ever BE in my 20′s again, but I can’t help but want to have skin like that again, for sure.). Pretty much all of these are topical treatments that work on the top layer, the epidermis layer, of my skin.

So, when I heard about an anti-aging supplement that is specialized for women 40 years or older, that works down in the dermal layer of the skin, I knew I needed to know more. I headed over to the website for Imedeen® and took the “Lifestyle Skin Assessment”. After a few questions about how I go about life, it decided that the Imedeen Time Perfection® skin care supplements would be best for me.

*Giveaway* Getting Deep (Pore) with Clarisonic

IMG 23091 764x1024 *Giveaway* Getting Deep (Pore) with Clarisonic Do you guys remember when I was in NYC and was tweeting up a storm about the “Evolution of Skin Care” event, hosted by Clarisonic that I was lucky enough to attend? It was there I heard about a a new brush head they were introducing – the Deep Pore Cleansing brush head.

Now, I have had blackheads across my nose since I can remember. And since I don’t get facials on the regular, ie., hardly ever, I take care of things at home – sometimes good things like good scrubs and peels; and sometimes really bad things like manual self-extractions. (*Those always go well. Uh huh.). But the one thing that I use that gives me the best clean is when I use my Clarisonic brush, that I got on QVC a couple of years ago (*5 easy-pays – Heeeey!). In my case I can’t use it that often, but when I do, it makes my skin feels really clean, but it never does that deep down scrubbing clean. Or at least it *didn’t*. That has changed with this new Deep Pore brush head.

So, when I was in NYC, I had a chance to try a true “Triple Oxygen Treatment” facial at bliss spa, to compare with my at home version that I had done. I had a hard time writing about it, because, well, it was so relaxing I slept thru most of it and woke up with amazing glowing skin (*and no post-facial breakouts! Score!), and I didn’t really know how to explain it properly. Anyway, I point this out to show that I had a great “baseline” fresh face – deep blackheads still there, but really smooth skin. Usually, not too long after a facial your skin kind of goes back to how it was before, well, in this case, I have been able to maintain a lot of the smoothness, but also have been able to get down into some of the deeper blackheads using this brush head, reducing the appearance on the bridge of my nose and down the sides. This makes for a very happy girl.

All of you QVC junkies, be jealous! Look who I got to hang out with that day: Dr. Robb!! :)

And, I want you to see the deep pore cleansing difference yourself by giving away a Deep Pore Cleansing brush head to you. Oh. You’ll probably need something to be able to use the brush head on, so, why don’t I throw in a Clarisonic Mia Sonic Cleansing System, too? You know what? I was talking to my best friend today, who is traveling overseas, and I bet she wishes she had a Mia to travel with right now. Let’s make sure your BFF doesn’t suffer the same way – let’s give them one, too!

That’s right – I’m giving away a Sonic Mia, with a Deep Pore Cleansing brush head to one lucky reader AND their BFF. All I need you to do is tell me why your BFF deserves one, and I’ll choose the winner. Yes, it’s entirely at my whim. icon wink *Giveaway* Getting Deep (Pore) with Clarisonic And I already know why *you* deserve one, you beauty fiend you. I’ll take submissions until Midnight Friday night, July 29th. (*Sorry, this is for US residents, only!)

Are any of you already Clarisonic fans? Have you had a chance to try this new brush head out for yourself? Lemme know what you think if you have, or if you are thinking about picking one up!

*Disclaimer: I received a Mia and the brush head from PR for consideration. I also received the facial courtesy of PR, too.
