Okay, I think I have made it clear that I may not have the best skills when it comes to makeup application or hair styling. However, it appears that I *can* put out a good zombie (*with help from a little tutorial, of course).
Nate decided that this year he wanted to be a zombie, I figured, “Surely, I can do that” and off we went to get supplies. We went to the local Goodwill and picked up a shirt, t-shirt and tie for $4.85. Score! Then went to Walmart and got a little $1.99 Halloween makeup kit & $1.99 white hairspray. Lastly, we went to a Halloween superstore & got fake blood and “Bloody Scab” for $6 – Total $15ish. Not too bad, considering how much some of those prepackaged costumes cost nowadays. *cough*$40*cough*
So, after negotiating that he could go trick or treating with his friends without me, I could take pictures of his transformation, we were ready to start playing.
Overall, I was pretty please with what I pulled off, but the real prize is the fact that Nate declared it “Awesome!” and he had a great night. It can’t get much better than that.
