Have you ever smelled something so good, only afterwards you couldn’t readily get your hands on it again? and then the scent lingers in your mind, to the point of distraction? I have that happening to me RIGHT NOW with the upcoming scent from Lavanila called “Vanilla Summer”.
The PR rep was kind enough to send me a sample of this beachy-feel scent, and unfortunately, the bottle became opened during transit and emptied in the box. So, when I opened the box I could smell it, and when I touched the bottle it was on my fingers. I was happy and sad at the same time. I could smell it, but couldn’t use it! And, since this limited edition scent isn’t even coming out till later this year, I couldn’t even go buy another bottle right now!
I have always been a huge fan of vanilla scents, with coconut not far behind. So this scent of “fresh mango, juicy pineapple, creamy coconut milk & island sugar cane, steeped in warm Madagascar vanilla” hit all the right buttons with me. I am certain this will be one of my summer go-to scents this year. Even if I have to wait that long to get my hands on it again!
Do certain scents hold memories for you? Can one scent just immediately remind you of something, too?
